Gaelic Games play a significant role in the life of Mt. St. Michael's . The children are taught during P.E. lessons by teachers and by John Mc Keever the County Antrim Development Officer for our area. We also take gaelic sports as After School Clubs and enter children into various competitions as are outlined below. Boys. Gaelic Football Antrim 5 Aside Tournament INTO Sevens Large School Leagues Large School Blitz Last year in 2003 the boys were runners up in the 5 Aside Tournament and this year 2004 we were Semi-Finalists. In the INTO Sevens we have been Semi-Finalists in both 2003 and 2004. We were runners up in last years Large School League and the winners of the Large School Blitz. Congratulations to two of our girls Aine and Rachael who represented County Antrim in Croke Park All Ireland Finals andSemi-Finals. Well Done! |
